Juliettes

Email this page / Print this page / Text size adjust: A A A

“Juliette” was the name of Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low. A Juliette Girl Scout is a girl who participates in the Girl Scout program on an independent basis instead of in a troop setting.

Juliette Girl Scouts is an option for girls in 1st through 12th grades who are waiting for troop placement or for girls who want to do Girl Scout activities but are unable to attend regular troop meetings.

Juliettes will regularly receive a Program Calendar with a listing of all the council’s activities, and they can register and participate in any events they choose. Girls registered as Juliettes will also receive invitations to Girl Scout events hosted by troops in their area.

Juliettes can work on their own to earn Try-Its, badges or patches for their age level, and they can also earn leadership awards such as the Bronze, Silver or Gold awards. Juliettes can make their own choice about uniforms. If they choose to wear a uniform piece, there is a special Juliette emblem in place of a troop number.
