QSP/Nut Program

Email this page / Print this page / Text size adjust: A A A

Our annual Fall Product Sale Program is sponsored by Reader’s Digest and Ashdon Farms. The Fall Product Sale Program is a wonderful money-earning activity for the troop and for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.

Program Dates:

  • September 12 – QSP/Nut Fall Product Sale Program Starts
  • October 4 – QSP/Nut Fall Product Sale Program Ends
  • November 9-30 – Girls deliver their nut orders to customers

The Fall Product Sale Program enables girls to:

  • Discover more about keeping the world green and environmentally healthy
  • Connect with others in cooperative learning
  • Take action to make a difference in their communities

From each QSP magazine order sold, 45 percent of the proceeds support Girl Scouting in Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Marion, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Sumter counties. Of that amount, troops receive 10 percent of each order to support their activities. The troop also earns $2 for each coupon booklet turned in with at least 10 names filled in. From each Ashdon Farms nut product sold, troops keep $1 to use for troop programs. The council uses its portion of the proceeds to provide quality training experiences and materials for volunteer and staff leadership, to maintain and improve five camp properties, the Tampa Service Center, two branch offices, provide outdoor equipment for troop activities, and to help pay for the cost of program experiences and supplies for more than 33,000 girls in our eight-county area.

All girls who are registered Girl Scouts for the current membership year may participate in the Fall Product Sale Program. The Be a Reader Activity Booklet provided to all troops has many activities on how to Go Green, Observe & Conserve to keep our world environmentally healthy.

With your help we will continue to offer quality programming to the Girl Scouts in your area.
