Elevator Speech

Girls! Adults! Write an Elevator Speech and Win Prizes!!!

As Girl Scouts, we always have a great leadership story to tell; however, we know that the public often associates Girl Scouting primarily with cookies or camping. By creating your Girl Scout elevator speech, you can help spread the message about the benefits of Girl Scouting — whether you’re a girl, volunteer, board member, staff or alumna!

What exactly is an “Elevator Speech”?

An “elevator speech” is a concise, carefully planned and well-practiced description about your organization that your mother should be able to understand in the time it would take to ride up an elevator. The idea of an “elevator speech” is to have a prepared presentation that grabs attention and says a lot in a few words.

PLEASE NOTE! If you had any problems submitting your Elevator Speech, please try it again. We were experiencing problems with our online submittal form. We apologize for any inconvenience.

DON’T DELAY! Deadline for submitting your Elevator Speech is December 10, 2008. Winning elevator speeches will be chosen by the GSWCF staff and board members, and announced in early January.
