Our Partners

Email this page / Print this page / Text size adjust: A A A

Girl Scouts of West Central Florida partners with corporations, foundations, government agencies, and other partners to offer a diverse menu of programming for girls, adult volunteer opportunities, general awareness, and so much more. Partnerships and sponsorships provide nearly 30,000 Girl Scouts ages 5-17 with leadership development and personal growth opportunities that will help them become tomorrow’s leaders.

We would like to thank our partners for their support and commitment to Girl Scouting and for joining with us to help build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. To join the list of distinguished partners supporting Girl Scouts of West Central Florida or to learn more about institutional giving opportunities, please contact us at partner@gswcf.org.

Sponsorships

A GSWCF sponsor provides facilities (space) for Girl Scout activities to take place. While this is typically a school, religious facility, or community center where troop meetings take place, other examples of sponsorship include a company who provides warehouse space for cookie delivery, or a commercial activity center that provides a place for girls to go at a discount.

Partnerships

A partner provides more than one benefit to GSWCF. These benefits could include providing volunteers, making a financial contribution, providing supplies, and/or promoting Girl Scouting to their own constituents.

Embracing a rich history of Girl Scouting dating back nearly 100 years, Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (GSWCF) represents leadership and authenticity, and is the pre-eminent organization for girl leadership and personal growth in West Central Florida.

By joining forces with GSWCF, our partners enjoy myriad benefits, including promoting an alliance with Girl Scouts and receiving recognition for aligning with the cause; controlled access to the GSWCF membership with opportunities to sample products, communicate messages and strengthen brand loyalty among the Girl Scout community; and receive acknowledgement space in Council assets such as our website (www.gswcf.org), promotional materials, newsletters, etc.

Businesses & Corporations

Today’s thriving businesses and corporations understand the importance of improving the quality of life in their communities. Partnerships and employee volunteer programs are a direct way to support positive development for girls and young women through Girl Scouting.
Benefits businesses and corporations who partner with GSWCF enjoy include promotion and expanded awareness of products and services; an enhanced reputation within the community; and the ability to positively impact youth development. GSWCF benefits from these partnerships through an increased awareness of the Girl Scout program; an expanded adult volunteer base; and expanded program delivery.

Civic Organizations

Civic organizations often include “service to community” as part of their organization’s focus. Partnerships with GSWCF helps civic organizations reach a wide local audience in an effective manner.
As such, these organizations have the opportunity to promote and expand awareness of their focus, as well as to provide community service. In return, GSWCF benefits by increasing awareness of the Girl Scout Program, identifying an expanded adult volunteer base to identify potential volunteers, additional opportunity for program delivery and a potential funding source for troop activities.

Community Centers

Community centers’ main focus is to provide support and activities for youth and families in area neighborhoods. Partnering with GSWCF will enable center staff to strengthen and expand girl-focused programming, while GSWCF is able to reach more girls right in their neighborhoods.
Community centers who partner with GSWCF enjoy expanded program opportunities for girls; leadership development for girls and adults; an increased awareness of the centers’ programs; and an increase in the number of girls and adults who use the centers’ facilities. In return, GSWCF adds another meeting and/or program event facility, has the opportunity to expand sports-related program activities and has an expanded base for recruitment.

Religious Institutions

Religious institutions play a vital role in the community and share many common goals with Girl Scouts. The partnership concept is supported by the study “Girl Scouts: Who We Are, What We Think,” which found that girls who are active in both Girl Scouts and a religious organization make better moral decisions than girls who participate in only one or the other organizations.
Religious organizations who partner with GSWCF benefit from expanded youth programming; quality leadership training for adults active in the organization; and membership and outreach opportunities. In return, GSWCF will benefit from new locations for recruitment and program delivery; an expanded volunteer base; opportunities to promote Girl Scout ideals; and program components with a spiritual emphasis that are the heart of the Girl Scout Promise.

Schools

Schools are challenged to provide for the academic and social development of their students, a challenge that Girl Scouts also faces. According to “Girl Scouts: Who We Are, What We Think,” Girl Scouts reported achieving higher grades in their school work, and are more active in extracurricular activities at school than girls of the same age who are not Girl Scouts.
Both schools and GSWCF benefit immensely through partnerships. For example, schools who partner with Girl Scouts find that Girl Scout leadership training prepares girls to be leaders; Girl Scout adult development encourages greater school participation and greater girl and adult involvement in school activities. GSWCF benefits by working with schools through new locations for recruitment and program delivery; an expanded volunteer base to identify potential volunteers; and opportunities to increase the awareness of the Girl Scout Program.
